CRADLE support group MEETINGS
Patients attending all units in the West of Scotland are welcome to attend Cradle Support Group Meetings to meet, discuss, share experiences, hear and question guest speakers and to share in and offer support.
Meetings are normally on the first Thursday of the month and are held at the Nuffield Hospital, Glasgow. Starting at 7:00 they normally last for no more than a couple of hours.
We try as often as possible to have guest speakers or representatives from organisations offering support or advice to our members, or who can bring us up to date information on policies and programmes of interest to us.

6th May:
Ann Henderson lead Embryologist from the Glasgow Nuffield gave a talk on “What goes on in the lab” to our May meeting. She showed footage of ICSI as well as giving us an insight to all that goes on in the lab from egg and sperm collection, identification protocol, fertilisation and storage.
Ann also updated us on the patient side of the recent changes to the HEFA regulations. This was followed by a lively question and answer session. We would like to thank Ann and all the couples who attended for their part in a most informative and enjoyable evening. |

We had planned to have a representative from the Institute Marques in Barcelona along to the Cradle meeting on 8th July. This will now be arranged for later in the year.
Alan Hunter, Accupuncturist from Napiers in Glasgow, will come along and do a talk on accunpuncture and fertility. We have moved the meeting back to the original date of Thursday 1st July. |

2nd September: Susan Seenan from I N UK gave a talk about "Single Embryo Transfer". This was a very informative session followed by a question and answer session. |

Sheena Young, Infertility Network UK (INUK), with info on 1st Scottish branch of INUK and the work of the charity, as well as info on the latest Scottish Parliament strategies for infertility funding. |
